Oyster is currently fundraising for the 2008 Summerworks premiere of Talk Sixty To Me, a follow up to the critically acclaimed Talk Thirty To Me . We are hoping to raise $10,000 for this production, including costs such as artist's salaries, publicity materials and advertising, technical equipment, rehearsal space rental and transportation costs. Only adequate funding can ensure the consistency of artistic excellence and dialogue with the community that is paramount to Oyster's mandate. Oyster gratefully accepts donations and support of all kinds and sizes and can offer acknowledgement online, on publicity materials and at all Summerworks performances. Summerworks is a powerhouse event and theatrical institution that has securely positioned itself in Toronto and Canada's cultural landscape and attracts over 12 000 people each year. Examples of cash donations: $15 would pay for the website upkeep for one month $50 would pay for beer and pizza for the cast after a long rehearsal $300 would pay for an ad in the Summerworks programme $1000 would pay one actor for their hard work and talent $10 000 would support the project until production. If you aren't in the position of donating cash, there are plenty of other ways to help! Donations in Kind Do you have all sorts of pesky Toronto FC tickets or Audis that you would like to get rid of? Their worth on ebay could be a big help to the Oyster team… Collaborators Oyster is now seeking a Stage Manager and Production Assistants for Talk Sixty To Me. If you are interested in working with a high calibre team on a great project, please get in touch. Artistic Conspirators Oyster is always accepting letters of interest from like-minded and otherwise wonderful artists with an interest in collaborating. Let us know that you are out there and what you do.
